The band formed in Riverside County, California USA and now includes 2 members from Northern California. June - September 2011 - More changes were on the way;Arkaik drummer Keith Roylance decided to leave the band for personal reasons. You know that Arkaik did not settle for mediocrity... 2010 - Arkaik is, as always, in a constant flux of continual evolution. Leaving the band in August of 2010 bassist Eric Cohen has stepped away to pursue other things. Coming off of their first US tour (BLOODLETTING 7) the band began their continued rise with a tour of the US & Canada. Bassist for Braindrill, Ivan Munguia took over playing bass permanently after the conclusion of the Bloodletting 7 tour.
Arkaik returned successful from the Deflorate Tour which began in Columbus, Ohio, USA in September 2010. They performed 18 shows with the well known metal band The Black Dahlia Murder as well as Goatwhore.
Early on the manifestation of ARKAIK began with the intent to create the most versatile and original sound in existence, using only the most intense, extreme and passionate influences. The idea is to take people out of their comfort zone in some way or another. Your nan might like to play cheeky bingo and watch nature programmes, but what would she think about this music? It's certainly not your average sound but there is something that will definitely draw you to it. Caring not for the generic mediocrity that plagues the majority of all genres these days, they have fiercely sought after a sound that places them far above what is considered "The Norm." Human nature leads us to question existence, to find new pathways of thought and logic. ARKAIK is the musical representation of this form of idealology. Simply listen to one song and the plethora of musical influences that form ARKAIK are devastatingly apparent. This makes them appealing to all fans of heavy metal, regardless of their genre preference.
Chance Strickland and Jared Christianson started the band while still in high school with the intention of creating innovative and creative death metal, with the hopes of taking extreme music to the next level. After various lineup changes, they met their current bass player "Eric Cohen while playing a show at Corona's Showcase Theatre. With the sick low end solidified they began the search for another guitar player that shared the same vision as them.
The band later found "Craig Peters who filled the position perfectly. After a rotating door of drummers, they met current drummer Keith Roylance, who used to play drums for Craigs old band. With the band now complete, they are finally ready to establish themselves as a formidable musical force. Signed to Unique Leader Records, Arkaik hit the studio in the summer of 2009 to record their first full length debut album "Reflections Within Dissonance" which was released in early 2010. In mid-2011 with nearly all the music & lyrics written for the sophmore CD, they will be heading into the studio soon to start recording. Metamorphignition is due to be recorded in Feb. 2012.

| Jared Christianson: | I started playing guitar at the age of ten, I played mainly punk and rock music until I met current guitarist Chance Strickland. We got into heavier music and started writing our own version of heavy music which led to the formation of Arkaik. In 2004 we started the band with myself on guitar, which lasted for awhile until i felt the need to take over on vocals as well as guitar and even sometimes bass. After going through a few drummers I decided to play drums for Arkaik until we could find a vocalist who could fit our style or a drummer better than I was. After a worthy drummer was found I decided to focus on vocals and lyrical composition. Now after 5 years we have found our most solid and suitable line-up. |

| Chance Strickland: | Chance, born in 1987, started playing guitar at about 8 years old. He is now an accomplished guitar player and has a range from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Halen, Darrell Abbott, and beyond. He is also a talented songwriter & lyricist composing the songs for Arkaik with the help of Jared. He owns & plays a Gibson Explorer, an Ibanez 7 string, and 2 Jackson guitars, plus an acoustic/electric. |

| Alex Hernandez Bent: | Alex was born January 31, 1993 in Oakland, CA. His father a singer and musician along with most of his family surrounded him with music from the time he was born. At the age of 11, Alex asked his dad to put together his old drum set. From that moment on Alex knew that playing drums was not just a hobby, but a passion. By age 15, Alex was already playing full-time with the Modesto Junior College Jazz Band and multiple local acts. Then at age 16, he got picked up by Bay Area thrash metal legend Steve "Zetro" Souza (ex. Testament, Exodus) and began making the necessary connections to take the next step in his career. By age 17, he had competed in the Guitar Center Drum-Off and made it to the Regional Finals in Hollywood, CA. Alex is now 18 years old and endorsed with Crush Drums, AXIS Percussion, War Ink Clothing, and Soultone Cymbals. He is keeping very busy touring with national acts, recording in studio, and beginning to venture out on his own clinic tours. |

| Craig Peters: | I've been playing guitar since age 15, never took lessons. Some favorite bands are Suffocation, Pantera, Morbid Angel. I was in a band before called Lower Existance for about 5 years. I saw on MySpace that Arkaik was looking for a guitarist so I contacted them. They liked what they heard & asked me to join them. |
